Built by Dr. Taer Alkuor, a practicing general dentist.

Most dental marketing agencies were built by marketers who learned dentistry on the job. Dental Patient Boost was built by a working dentist who installed every system inside his own general practice (Key Dental in Brownsville, Texas) before offering it to anyone else.

Who runs Dental Patient Boost

Dr. Taer A. Alkuor, Founder & Practicing Dentist

Dr. Taer A. Alkuor

Founder & Practicing Dentist · DDS

Dr. Taer A. Alkuor is the founder of Dental Patient Boost and a practicing general dentist at Key Dental in Brownsville, Texas. He earned his DDS at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, after a Bachelor's and Master's in Biomedical Engineering at UT Arlington.

Born in Amman, Jordan and raised in Dallas–Fort Worth from age five, Dr. Alkuor worked in local restaurants through school to help support his family — the oldest of six siblings. That background shapes how Dental Patient Boost works with practice owners: the math has to make sense, the systems have to be repeatable, and the team has to know exactly what to do on any given day.

Dental Patient Boost exists because Dr. Alkuor saw the same two gaps in every option he evaluated for Key Dental. The marketing agencies pitched complicated packages, opaque pricing, and confusing tiers — and almost none of them owned the part that actually decides whether ads turn into patients: the systems, the team, and the day-to-day execution inside the office. The pure consulting groups understood the operations but had no way to bring new patients in. He built both halves inside his own practice first — Google Ads, Meta Ads, CRM, missed-call workflows, KPI dashboards, front-desk scripts, leadership and team training — then turned it into a single firm that does marketing and consulting together, because in a real practice they are inseparable.

Dr. Alkuor is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), Rio Grande Dental Society, AFD, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honor society. He lives in the Rio Grande Valley with his wife and sons.

What we believe about dental marketing

Marketing doesn't bring patients in. Marketing creates opportunities to bring patients in. Systems capture and retain them.

Marketing is also made overly complicated by most agencies — packaged in confusing tiers, a la carte add-ons, and opaque pricing instead of a simple, transparent offer. Beyond that, execution lives or dies inside the office: the front desk that answers the call, the system that follows up when no one picks up, the team that presents treatment in a way patients say yes to. Coupling marketing with consulting was the obvious move because in a real practice the two are inseparable.

How we work with practices

Practice assessment first, retainer second

Every engagement starts with a 7-section assessment covering marketing, operations, KPI tracking, treatment acceptance, front desk performance, recall, and leadership. We share the findings whether you sign with us or not. About a third of the practices we assess don't need our marketing. They need their existing leads handled better. We tell them that.

Twice-monthly working sessions

Two 30-minute meetings per month, live, reviewing the data. No PDF reports delivered the second Tuesday of the following month.

Long-term thinking, short-term commitment

No long-term contracts. The monthly engagement is month-to-month. The annual term is optional and nets you cost savings — same offer either way. If we're not earning the seat, you should be able to leave without negotiating a way out.

Who we work with

  • General dental practices, where the consulting layer is calibrated for the under-$2M economics we know cold.
  • Startups, regardless of how long they've been open.
  • Solo offices and small group practices.
  • Specialty practices when there's a fit on goals and operations.
  • Practice owners who want predictable growth without unnecessary complexity.
